Description

The project consisted of a new six-story hospital including a parking garage and a four-story building to house doctor's offices. Our scope of work included all the interior partitions, the acoustical ceiling, fire penetrations, stucco, and the EFS system.  

Lean construction was used for planning and coordination with other trades. Lean Construction Planning including Pull Plan, 5S and 6 Weeks Look Ahead. Our team facilitated the lean sessions that brought all trades together for proper planning and coordination. To improve coordination among all trades, each floor was divided by section and each trade made a work plan stating the crew size and area that they would be working on each week. 

The Jackson West Medical Center is a newly built, cutting-edge facility with a full array of outpatient and inpatient services, home of José Milton Memorial Hospital, a 100-bed all-private acute care hospital with state-of-the-art services. The campus sits on a 27-acre property in Doral, FL, one of the fastest-growing communities in Miami-Dade County, and costs approximately $300 million.
