Description

The work consisted of the replacement of three existing security gates including the restroom and existing electrical and concrete foundation. The Midfield Tunnel Gate remained in operation throughout the entire construction period. We had to phase the project so we could keep two lanes always open including a fully functioning security system to scan personnel badges and vehicle decals.

The removal of the existing gate included concrete demolitions which included electrical, plumbing, and existing foundation four feet deep into the ground. We poured a new concrete foundation including steel bollards. The electrical work consisted of replacing all power and low voltage systems with new conduits and wiring to feed their new security systems. We had to connect all plumbing connections and the a/c as well.
